Past-due keeps your entitlements
While your card retries, your fleet keeps its paid limits. Entitlements drop to the free tier only when collection has actually stopped — and your data and policies are never touched.
Billing changes are step-up gated
Only organization owners can change plans, and only with a recent sign-in. A stolen idle session cannot reach checkout, and every change is a signed Stripe event.
